Pictures at an Exhibition is an imaginative series of musical tableaux inspired by an art exhibition. Originally composed as a piano suite, it wasn’t published in his lifetime and only achieved the popularity it enjoys today after Ravel colorfully orchestrated it.

“Giulini draws superlative playing from the Chicago orchestra." -Gramophone review
