When Orchestra Hall was built in the early 1900's, the building's architects wished to bring elements of nature into the building. The lobby spaces are adorned with many floral features, including floral-inspired sconces and banisters. During the renovation and conversion into Symphony Center in 1990's, the designers paid homage to this intent of the original architects, producing the pattern shown on this tie on many fixtures throughout the building.
Each filigree tie is 100% silk, handwoven by artisan silk weavers in New York City.
